On a very cold wintery night in the dark new friends gathered to stargaze. Between the planetary talks and wishful peeking through telescopes we talked. We talked about humour, crafting, books to read, each of our own pathwork for the coming year and jokes. Varied conversations such as this are the best kind. They warm the soul and bring people closer together. In the early stages of getting to know one another a conversation can (and should) jump all over the place.
I learnt my new friends are saucy, fun, a little rough around the edges, talented, ambitious, kind and generous. I learnt more about myself – getting back to my old self able to laugh at myself and not take everything so seriously.
Between this conversation and the stargazing I learnt a great deal about the similarities, or rather inspirations, between science and fiction – namely just how many Harry Potter characters are named after stars and constellations.
